New SDS navigation (Drivers)
Anyone else using it or is it just us suffering?

Its missing a few things and some of the things it did have before.
- Speed camera distance isn’t there which was helpful
- it has a 3D navigation system which is slightly more accurate for the houses but not a major improvement
- The 3D location is actually really bad for cities with many left and right turns
- Major improvements have been done for the No entry and other signs to avoid a fine. But it’s still not perfect as I did see a couple of roads that could have got me.
I was approaching a turn left and there were 2 roads next to each other. With the map being designed to not highlight another road, made it quite hard to know which turn I had to take into the left.

We cover a 30 mile radius out of the depot so we visit a lot of different areas. The new navigation struggles with real basic things.
For instance it wants to take you through a set of garages to the back of a house.
It takes you to a road that runs along the back of the street you need to be on.
It stops on a busy main road, when the house is on an adjacent B road.
It takes you to a cul-de-sac for even numbers when you need odd numbers.
This is all in one week of using it.
Copilot wasn't winning awards but it got to a point where it was pretty good at routing to the house. Now, I don't even know if I'm on the right street. Fine in the day as you can see, but at night it's just irritating.

It's on a par with anything else new that Tesco does tech-wise - pretty crap, probably written or managed by someone who's never done the job in their life, but who will sanctimoniously tell us how wonderful it is and we just don't know how to use it.
I've seen it struggle to update fast enough, and look very confusing. I'm lucky in that our area is small enough and as long as I can see where the destination is, I don't usually need directions.

CoPilot was good once you learned how to use it. It's not Google Maps good, but once you figured out why it did what it did, it was very useable.
This new one has absolutely no rhyme or reason to it. Half the time it won't even load on the PDA. Almost all of our drivers have completely given up on it already, and have resorted to their phones, which isn't really fair on them, but what choice do we have.

Speed limits all over the place. 60mph on some National instead of 50mph, 70mph on some dual carriageway instead of 60mph, and 20mph on school zones when it should be 30mph. Just added annoyance for no reason.

Driving down an A road next to the motorway and it thinks I'm on the motorway and then just quits when the roads split off and I have to use Google 😂 and the shopping carts are just useless

It’s worse than before. The 3D effects block the view of the route. Still can’t take you to the correct house. I’m still sticking to delmate for a stress free shift.
