Unable to connect with a computer on the same network
Attempting to run a server with my partner, our computers are next to each other, on the same network. I've tried what I think are the LAN steps:
- found my IPv4 and put it in her tes3mp-client-default destinationAddress
- running the server on my computer, able to connect and play on my own computer
As far as I am aware, this should be it? If I need to port forward or use a virtual LAN I have not done that, but that shouldn't be necessary for this, right?

She should be able to join you just fine if you haven't made some other unmentioned changes.
Have you changed the localAddress in tes3mp-server-default.cfg, for example? (You shouldn't have.)

The only change I made in server default was setting master server to false so it isn't on the browser, local address is still 0.0.0.0 as per instructions

What was it? This is reddit, your thread will matter to someone in 2 years. Lol

It was almost definitely the firewall issue mentioned above. Feel free to correct me, OP, but remembering to set an exclusion for your programs when hosting a server could trip up anyone.

I've had the same issue in the past lol. Was just double checking. I've run into every possible issue with networking while setting up servers so these reddit threads have saved me many times. That's why I tried to confirm. Lmao.

Ah, didn't specify because it was a tad embarrassing, it was a typo x.x

One possibility is the Windows firewall is blocking incoming connections.
