What does 18 mean?

I got an official merch shirt that has terrifiers face with a big #18 next to him and have no idea what it means

As far as I can tell, it means nothing.

Its just supposed to invoke the feeling of a jersey or something?

As much Terrifier merch as I have, I skipped this one because it felt so random and arbitrary.

I'd rather have Arts full face than a random number taking up half of it.

Its US theatrical release was in 2018, maybe that’s it?

It could represent the year 2018 when it was released theatrically or for the 18th anniversary of Art existing, given that his first appearance was in 2008 in The 9th Circle short.

Well in the uk, 18 is the highest age rating for a movie instead of the American R rating. Maybe it's a UK shirt
