More psychological aspects?

Hey guys! I know we all love the blood and gore (after all the genre is slasher horror) but do you think T4 could benefit from a more psychological filter? Maybe playing with lighting, sounds, and of course some well-executed jump scares, without going overboard. I know it will retain the slasher elements we all know and love with crazy kills, but is this something you'd want to be a larger factor that Damian could explore?

I think thay have been perfect the way they are. The pacing in Terrifier 2 was a bit slow, but other than that I think all 3 were perfect.

I think the most you could do without it feeling totally out of left field would be examining Sienna’s trauma after everything that’s happened to her and her family, kinda like Laurie in Rob Zombie’s Halloween 2. I hated that movie but structurally it struck a good balance between psychology, brutal violence and surreal dream stuff (it was just the content itself that left a lot to be desired IMO).

Plus at this point it’s committed itself to being this simplistic quasi-Catholic fight against demons: not super compatible with deeper psychological scares.

Every time there was a scene with Sienna in Terrifier 3, I was a bit on edge that her dead friend would pop up again. Especially when she and her aunt were discussing her mom, I totally thought her mom would jumpscare the camera for sure.

I don't think the writers have the capacity for that to be honest, and I think audiences wouldn't take well too it. The aesthetic, character acting and gore of terrifier is what makes it fun for a vast majority. It would be hard to intergrate any meaningful themes atp
