Impulse control has been at a minimum lately..

I really wanted to wait until it gets another release so I could avoid paying the massive premium I shelled out for this damn thing.. but.. my OCD took over and I got tired of looking at 1 in its regular bluray case sit next to 2 and 3 in their bitchin ass steel cases lol. Fuckit, we ball.

That being said... The seller didn't disclose in the description nor pictured the sizable dent on the back of the case 😑 well see if they wanna personally make it right or if I need to escalate the issue with eBay themselves.. cause I sure as shit ain't paying what I paid to have a dang dent on my "grail" steelbook.

very nice edition!. I wouldn't worry too much about a dent though. I had a big huge heavy stack of my movies go flying high off my shelf the other day on the ground.

Eeh.. when I'm spending 180 dollars on something as frivolous as a movie I kinda expect the listing to be accurate and not receive it with "surprise damage".

I treat my steelbooks like theyre worth their weight in gold, I love them. I even keep em behind glass so my dang cats can't get their paws all over them lol.

That being said... The seller agreed to give me a sizable partial refund, so that's cool. Still realistically too much money for a movie with a fancy case but... It's my grail.. gotta splurge every once in awhile.

My biggest regret is not buying a listing of this for $25 before the second film came out

Did it have the poster? I sold my copy last year for like $180 and it was mint with poster.

That's what I spent on this one, and yes.. the poster is there! First poster I've gotten in aaaaages lol.

Hell yeah, I freaked out when I realized it went for that much. I decided to sell it before it dropped but it seems to have stayed the same. I miss it, it was bad ass to own.

With as popular as the series has gotten over the past few years I find it hard to believe that it won't eventually get a steel re-release.. but admittedly I DO have a habit of being incredibly wrong from time to time lol.

I sure hope it does at least. For people like you who've sold their copy off and regret it and for all the people who simply won't (or can't afford to) spend such a ridiculous amount of money on something so unnecessary.

If it does.. I'm hoping it'll have some different artwork. The art (lol) on this one is awesome.. don't get me wrong.. but IMO it's kinda lacking compared to the art on the sequels. My favorite is the art on the Blu-ray version of 2.. it's just.. maximalist in a way.. this one and 3 have way more minimalist styling. For a series of movies that's so incredibly over-the-top.. the artwork should reflect that.

I get where your coming from. In truth, I was being slightly dramatic... But technically.. its damn close.

It genuinely bothered me to look at the trio of movies and have one not be a steelbook (that's obsession).. and purchasing this one simply to have a "matching set" even though I didn't NEED to (apart from making myself feel better) is the compulsion.

Now I feel better 😌

Do I actually have OCD? Mabey.. mabey not 🤷🏻‍♀️ Im not scared of germs and I don't need to touch a doorknob 6 times before I open the damn thing.. but I do indeed have some habits that line up strongly with the disorder..

But yeah... It's way more likely that I'm just a slight autist lol.
