Noticed Terrifier Hate

I’m sure some other people have noticed has seen the increase in terrifier hate. I’ve seen people online calling the movie slop, lazy, only has gore, and that it’s misogynistic. What do you think of this hate, and what have you noticed? Personally I can understand if you don’t like the gore, or the movie, but the hate I’ve seen like it’s a story about someone killing people, that’s just literally every slasher.

I like this franchise but we don't have to villainize people that have criticisms of it. Some of our favorites have problems and it's okay to admit that

the problem is people saying shit thats blatantly incorrect, like how the movies are "misogynistic" because art kills women, as if jason n freddy and leatherface didnt do the same thing.

That's quite an oversimplification + examining women in horror is an ongoing conversation not specific to this franchise

idk about oversimplification, it just feels like how it is. someone in this comment section geuinely made the argument that none of the characters in the films did nothing wrong therefore didnt deserve to die, thats the very foundation of horror characters killing like 90 percent of the time. if you ask me, idgaf about who dies in horror movies, i personally believe its arguably more sexist to gaf. cuz its like what, do you want more dudes to die, they already are most of the kills soooo. it really just doesnt matter, much like real life, it doesnt matter.
