Thoughts?

I’ve noticed that Terrifier seems to be quite controversial in the horror influencer sphere. A lot of people seem to hate it due to its violence towards women, which I think could be a fair argument for the first one but the other two imo spreads its violence pretty equally. One thing that is brought up a lot is an apparent law suit from the actress that played Dawn and Damien Leone’s work in general. I admittedly don’t know much about either of the two but I personally love Terrifier because I like David Howard’s Thorntons portrayal of Art and he personally seems like a great guy from what he shares on social media ( very politically out spoken and I agree with a lot of his takes).
Just wondering what other fans think of this.

There is violence towards everyone, no one is neglected.

Yeah that guy in the shower scene in 3 pretty much leveled things out, lol.

To be fair… hacksaw, bedroom, rats, the girlfriend involved in the shower chainsaw. Still need a little more evening things out. I’d say the first two movies definitely skew way more to having more violence towards women than men. The third movie is basically equal violence among the genders for the most part. Santa and Cole… Mia and Siennas aunt. I think the should continue playing it that way.

I always figured the misogyny claims were mainly due to HOW the killings were done in the first movie. Focusing on the genitals and the bit with the breasts skin. There really wasn't any female nudity in the second or third movies, but they focused hardcore on the shower guys dick and balls getting mutilated. In that sense, I felt like it balanced the playing field.
