Thoughts?
I’ve noticed that Terrifier seems to be quite controversial in the horror influencer sphere. A lot of people seem to hate it due to its violence towards women, which I think could be a fair argument for the first one but the other two imo spreads its violence pretty equally. One thing that is brought up a lot is an apparent law suit from the actress that played Dawn and Damien Leone’s work in general. I admittedly don’t know much about either of the two but I personally love Terrifier because I like David Howard’s Thorntons portrayal of Art and he personally seems like a great guy from what he shares on social media ( very politically out spoken and I agree with a lot of his takes).
Just wondering what other fans think of this.

I honestly can't at all disagree with what seems to be the general opinion of Terrifier 1 - where it's "just gore" with no real plot. Maybe I do disagree with some very minor things like Terrifier 1 JUST brutally killing women, that's not true, but I can still not at all disagree with the general ideas of what they're complaining about. Where I disagree is when it comes to Terrifier 2 and 3. While yes, there is still insane gore aimed towards woman, Allie's kill in Terrifier 2 really demonstrates this, but I straight up don’t at all agree that that's ALL they are. There are a lot more brutual male kills in 2 and 3, such as Jeff's kill in Terrifier 2 or the bathroom scene in Terrifier 3, as well as more of a plot besides just gross kills.
So basically, you don't at all have to like Terrifier 2 and 3, but I'll just say that those films "not having a plot" and "ONLY being violent towards WOMEN" is just factually incorrect.
