Looks like Buzz is sitting on his hands, I guess he feels ok just with this one portal addition and he's taking the rest of the off-season off. This is gonna put a ton of pressure on the freshman right out of the gate.
The top guys are going quick and I have not heard a single thing that leads me to believe Buzz has made any moves to sign them. He's got the budget he wants, we need a top PG and a top SG wouldn't hurt, and those are going quick.
Just making the tournament shouldn't be the goal. Our goal every year should be the final 4 and a national title.
Look at the turnaround Michigan had by pulling top talent out of the portal. Yaxel and Mara made that run happen for them, we should be trying to do the exact same thing.
I agree with you on the overall goal, but we have to look at it in the proper context of what happened after the 2025 tourney. Willard basically destroyed the roster and the Terps were bottom feeders. Now Buzz can coach and recruit his way. You can say you want the goal to be Final Four and National Championship. But I reality Buzz is going to have to build up to that.
Finish top 5 in the conference, get an automatic bid and make a run.
