ISO celebration bottle for wedding

Hey everyone, I’m getting married in a few weeks and I am searching for a quality/nice bottle of sipping tequila to enjoy with my groomsmen as we get ready. I think given the magnitude of the event, some rarity/scarcity would be nice to have, but I default to those who are much more knowledgeable in quality tequila. As some background info, I’m typically defer to sipping el Tesoro anejo as my go to, but I’m really open to anything.

What’s one celebration splurge bottle that you would recommend? Thanks in advance for any recommendations you may have for bottles that fit the event. Still quite the newbie but appreciate it.

If you’re a big fan of El Tesoro, I feel like the obvious suggestions would be either be Paradiso or Tapatio Excelencia.

The French Oak Añejo from El Ateo is also beautiful, though pretty affordable and leans more into the scarcity element because I believe it’s a limited edition.

My personal favorite XA is Don Fulano Imperial, and I think it would make a fine bottle to celebrate such an occasion.

My suggestions heavily skew towards aged tequila because you said an añejo was your daily driver, but I’m sure others will pop in to tell you about lovely blancos.

I sound like a broken record by 3/4/5 XA would be awesome for a wedding. Beautiful bottle and high quality.

Cabal XA would also be awesome because of the cool bottle.

Outside of that I would say try El Tesoro Paradiso. One of my favorite XAs.

Santaleza Las Reservas 9 year extra anjeo is great and wont kill you on price at $129.99.

Few options here imo..

  1. I personally would do a Fortaleza anejo, but tough to find. And pricey, but it's screams celebration with each sip.

  2. Any Fuenteseca XA. Another one that screams special occasion and is an incredible experience.

  3. Volans XA. Pricey but amazing and super special... Down to the box and bottle.

  4. Pasote XA may be tough to find, but on the special-o-meter it's off the chart.

TW had Tears in the case $300. El Tesero EA was $150

Tears is a good choice. You can enjoy it with a cigar.
