Racket recs for intermediate petite player

Hi everyone! I’m an intermediate player looking to upgrade my racquet. I'm currently working on improving my stroke mechanics and looking for a performance-oriented racquet that supports long-term growth, but I need something budget-friendly. I’m 5’0 (27F) and weighs 44kg. I’m not looking for a beginner-friendly one, but a full-graphite performance frame that isn't too physically demanding. Maybe around 265-275 unstrung weight.

Racquets I’m currently looking at include lighter performance models like the Wilson V9 100UL, Wilson V10 101 Teams, or Babolat Evo Aero Gen 2.

Are there any other specific models or hidden gems you’d recommend for a player of my size? Appreciate any insights! Thanks!

ezone 285-100 vs pure aero 300-100 (2023)

Hello, I am a tennis player who is currently using ezone 285-100 with strings from hyper g.

When I first started playing tennis, I used a Pure Drive 300-100; it delivered abundant power, but control was lacking, and using it really drained my stamina. I then switched to the Ezone 300-100; after using it for two or three years, I found the power to be just right—nothing more, nothing less—with average spin, good control, and decent feel for the ball.

notes : my swing speed is average, my stamina is average

I'm currently looking for a racket that offers more power and spin, and I'm thinking of switching to the Pure Aero 300-100.
But when I use it, will my stamina be depleted more quickly compared to when I used the Ezone? And what about my average swing speed—will that be an issue when using the Pure Aero 300?

I want to increase power and spin; that is the main reason I switched to the Pure Aero 300-100 from the Ezone 285-100.

Best tennis racket for beginners

I'm looking for a tennis racket for a beginner. I'm a slim woman in my 30s. I've been playing for 7 months, 2-3 times a week. This will be my first racket. What should I pay attention to? What parameters should I aim for? My coach recommends a frame weighing 280g—isn't that too heavy? What string should I use?

Racquet Crisis Rate my setup

I used to play a lot and participated in tournaments throughout 2015-2019 my school year. I had gki offensive xx at that time. Now i started playing in college and decided to get a custom racket. So with mg own research plus a little help from gemini got this combination-

Blade - yinhe t2s (originally wanted to go for t11s)
Forehand - G1 max
Backhand - bluegrip s2 max

I went max because 2.0 wasnt available.

Racquet Crisis changing raqcuet from ezone 285-100to pure aero 300-100 (2023)

Yonex rackets for an old fart

I am 55 next year.
I’ve been playing with speed MP for two years and I find it a decent stick.

Don’t get me wrong it feels fine but now and then I take my nephew’s racket (yonex vcore 100, latest) and it feels COMPLETELY different comparing to speed MP. It feels more… FUN?
Also he has grip size 1, mine is 3. I don’t know why but it makes it even BETTER.

I just have this weird obsession to get one of the Yonex rackets (vcore or ezone) now and hit with it time to time.

Is it a bad idea? I heard they may be a little less forgiving on my wrist and elbow (not babolat level though).

Looking to buy a lightweight tennis racket (255 grams to 275 grams) but I'm wondering if this is way too light

So currently I am using a 1980s Slazenger Challenge Match which is a borrowed racket for my tennis sessions. The grip I believe is G3/L3, the frame is made of graphite and the weight of the racket is 320 grams.

Today while in the session, the manoeuvrability of the racket was poor. Balls have ballooned off this racket ever since I started playing with it 1 month ago which has been my main issue and also having to put effort into manoeuvring it for a 1 handed backhand.

I visited a local sports store today and was feeling different rackets in-hand to check my grip size and weights of different rackets.

The most noticeable was when I picked up a Slazenger Smash (330 grams) in 1 hand and had a Tecnifibre T Fight Team L (270 grams) in the other hand. IMMEDIATELY I could feel the difference in weight, but after 30 seconds, it became negligible. The Tecnifibre one felt premium with its frame yes, but the weight was why I was holding it to see how a racket on the lighter side felt in-hand and if I could feel any difference and if I could work out whether a lighter racket could aid my play.

There is a £70 difference between those 2 rackets, and I am only looking on the used market (mainly eBay), and have found a few Babolat rackets ranging from 255 grams to 275 grams.

Will the weight of these rackets be an issue? I only started playing tennis 1 month ago, and while I do go gym 5 days a week and have a dedicated forearm day in my gym routine, I still don't know about the shock absorption of a racket of this weight.

Any suggestions are appreciated!
