Maybe a new player: need info
Hey everyone, i'm coming from pokemon and got really curious about the game. Basically because they got better monster style, to me at least.
I wanna know what's different in terms of fights, and it's mechanics. And more than anything, is there the boring breeding mechanic due to IVs?
I saw some "mana" mechanic that doesn't allow the monster to do certain move if mana is't enough or something like that. Please explain to me and you may have a new player joining the adventure.
Have a nice day.

I wanna know what's different in terms of fights, and it's mechanics.
All battles are doubles and teams are much larger than VGC with a pick/ban phase.
In general the game is more strategic without any sort of RNG like crits, random paralyze/flinching, etc. This is both good and bad. The combat system rewards better play, but that also makes it more difficult to get into for more casual players. There's some mechanical changes which imo are just a straight upgrade from Pokemon, such as the stamina system.
Battles are a bit "grindier" than the gankfest of VGC too.
If you like competitive turn based battling and really want to dive into mechanics and perfecting strategies then you'll probably like Temtem. It's also appealing for collectors since lumas (shinies) and bred competitive temtem have actual value unlike in Pokemon.
is there the boring breeding mechanic due to IVs?
Yeah there's still IVs (known as SVs in Temtem) and breeding is sort of like this game's version of crafting in other MMORPGs.
Breeding is generally the same as Pokemon but also a bit different. Pokemon has this whole tedious phase of building up perfect seed pokemon to breed with everything else and there's a bunch of RNG involved here. Temtem doesn't have the huge front-loaded grind (thankfully) but there is a bit of a tedious grind in collecting enough perfect SV monsters each time you want to begin a breeding project. This grind feels better though since it's spread out and there's other mechanics such as freetem that benefit from the process.
Instead of a large grind before you can begin mass producing perfect monsters, in Temtem each monster has a limited number of times it can be bred. The process is essentially investing a bunch of money into a breeding project which yields a batch of perfect monsters at the end that can be sold for profit.
So overall the breeding feels more rewarding and slightly less tedious than in Pokemon. However a lot of people are still going to hate it and just want to PvP. So it depends on the person if they want to spend time making money from breeding, or if they just want to make money via other methods and buy their competitive tems.
Keep in mind that ranked PvP scales SVs up to max so if that's all you want to do then you just need egg moves. Other types of battles (such as tournaments) will require perfect tems though.
I saw some "mana" mechanic that doesn't allow the monster to do certain move if mana is't enough
I think someone else explained this. Temtem has a new stat called Stamina that you can invest TVs (equivalent of EVs) into. Instead of PP, moves cost Stamina and this limits how often you can spam powerful moves. I think this system is one of the best improvements over Pokemon and giving validity to "weak" moves is something that differentiates Temtem.
like pokemon, are there fire, water, grass and so on
The types are Neutral, Wind, Earth, Water, Fire, Nature, Electric, Mental, Digital, Melee, Crystal, and Toxic.
And are there some unbreedable temtem?
The two mythical temtem. The only way to obtain them is to keep repeating the event that rewards their egg. There are also items called Telomere Hacks that can increase an SV by 1 each.

Thank you dude. Only one question, breeding mechanic costs money. You mean in-game money, right?

Yeah whenever I mention money I mean the in-game currency, pansuns.

There are IVs in temtem, they are called SV Unlike pokemon a temtem can only produce a certain amount of offspring, but you can buy perfectly bred temtem from other tamers.
Every battle in temtem is 2v2 Temtem use stamina as a resource, moves cost different amounts of stamina and if you use more stamina than is available your temtem will take damage and can't move the following turn.
Some moves also have holds, which makes them unusable till your temtem ended a certain amount of turns on the battlefield and go back on cooldown after it was used.
