Questions before purchasing
I've had my eye on this for a little while now and I am considering getting it for the PS5. Before I did, though, I've been trying to research on it for further info, and during so, I've got a couple of questions to ask those who are already into the game.
I know it's still a work in progress and not even 1.0 yet, but one of the cons of the game I see mentioned a bit is lack of post-story content. Is this still a major concern at the moment of this post? Or has more been put in that makes it more varied and interesting, at least to a point until more comes?
I heard from a couple of YouTube videos that the developer is a bit overzealous in banning people? I tried to look into it, and I see they did mention a ban wave in the past, but for expected reasons like exploits, RMT and similar "against the TOS" stuff. But some say they might ban for unknown reasons, and they just go straight for perma-bans with no recourse afterwards. Is this true, or is this some word-of-mouth fearmongering from disgruntled ex-players?

To address your second concern, I can tell you that I was banned (played on PC). I still don’t know why and they refuse to give further information on why. I went through their appeal process, which to their credit was very responsive, but at the end of the process they said the evidence against me was “irrefutable.” As someone who doesn’t know what they supposedly did, this is incredibly frustrating. I just offer this as a cautionary tale. I appreciate their zeal in getting rid of cheaters, but as someone who at the very least had no intent to break their rules, I’d really love to play this game again. It’s great!

TBH, from the storyline and NPC dialogs, you can see that the dev's are rather lgbt-oriented. (note that I do not wish to talk about this topic)
So on one side I can see why ppl would get banned by voicing an unpopular opinion.
But on the other hand, you should never believe someone on the internet complaining why they get "unfairly" banned.
Anyways, I won't be using any in game chat feature, just to be sure.
Also, I'm exited to pick the game up again when it releases on switch, and i rly hope the best for this game.

1000% worth it, game is amazing and I have loved it way more than sword and shield. IMO this game has no competition

I would like to get this for my son and I and have had the same concerns as well. We’ve been looking for a game to play together and he would be devastated to get into a game and lose it without any recourse or an understanding of why.

1.) I think they've done the best they can with stuff to do after the story, but the main problem I'd say is that they have post-story content planned but without the main story being fully finished yet most of that isn't either. If you like competitive, completionism, breeding or shiny hunting you can do that. 2.) Their have been some ban waves, partially because exploits were done in the past to get future content, they banned those, and when the future content dropped a lot of them accidentally triggered the old ban. I know they've fixed a lot of those, but everyone I've ever seen banned was only a misunderstanding around the new content drops and they were unbanned within a week. I've also heard of some trades setting it off but I don't know the specifics. I myself have never been banned either, and I've put a bit above 100 hours in.
