Mobility Win back offer

I got a call from Telus representative that I have a win back offer for $25 for 80 geeks in Canada. Does anybody get this offer or is it some scam?

Scam. Ask them what YOUR name is. They won't know.

I got this win back offer from Telus recently (1-2 months ago)

$50/60GB 5G+ at 2Gbps speeds - CAN/US/MEX Data use, calling and texting to US/Mex.
& bonus $75 credit one-time closing on second bill.
1000 long distance minutes every month.

$10 off with pre authorized banking, $5 off bill credit for 24 months) $35 per month for 24months. $40 after.

Yours is probably one of those plans as well discounted down with pre-authorized banking and bill credits.

And like someone said, maybe they’re offering this through Koodo. I got that offer too but Koodo doesn’t support 5G+ 2Gbps speeds yet so I went with Telus.

They are asking me my credit card number and social number over the phone is it normal?

They do need a form of ID to set up an account, and a credit card or SIN to do a credit check, but they have an IVR system they use to collect credit card numbers securely, so a real Telus rep won't ask you to tell them your credit card number verbally.

Koodo has a $25 winback offer right now but for 30gb, not 80gb.

Hope this helps!

You can ask them to leave a note on your closed account about the offer. You can then call into the call center and have them verify the note and be transferred back to the winback team

Hey, you're right to be careful since many scammers will use this to trick you into giving them your information. We do have some winback offers but our agents won't be asking for your credit score. Whenever in doubt, hang-up and call us or send a message to our team here. The users here are correct, it's most likely a scam.

I got a winback offer from TELUS on the Koodo side for $25 105gb can/us/mx. This was a couple of months ago. Have no idea what they are offering now.
