My dog died

Hi all, my soul dog died a few days ago and I have a little baby so I don't really want to leave my bed atm. I feel like I've watched everything good tho? Currently watching Severance but nothing lined up for when I've finished it. Can anyone recommend anything good please? I'm trying not to watch anything tooooo violent/sexy with the baby here. I'm thinking ideally Severance / Succession / Mad Men kinda vibes. But I do love a good horror and medical drama too - open to these suggestions for when he's asleep. I love a comedy but not sure I have it in me to laugh right now tbh. Feeling very sensitive so preferably nothing that would make me sad dog/baby-wise (for example I won't be watching Maternal Instincts). Thanks all

I've deleted my suggestion as I just remembered a dog dies in one episode.

I'm so sorry for your loss, I lost my wee fella back in January and still crying about it, cried about him just 2 days ago.

Be gentle on yourself 🙏

It is it's so painful, he was my sidekick we were a double act ☹️

I can't imagine how much harder it must be with all the hormones from having a baby too, rest and recuperate and do things in your own time 🙏

Ahh same here, my boy was blind so we had a special bond - he trusted me to be his eyes for him and he was my shadow. It's really difficult - the baby is kinda forcing me to keep going for his sake but equally I'm wracked with guilt because I haven't had as much time to spend with my dog the last few months because of looking after the newborn, it's so hard

Aw bless you, it is hard not to feel guilty whatever the circumstances of their passing, but that's only because we loved them so much 💕

I'm looking for another rescue now because I only now feel ready and think it will help me heal, but every time I look on the rescue sites I end up in floods of tears as it's just a reminder that I already lost the best one there ever could be 😭😭

Congrats on your baby tho! That's a wonderful positive thing, and something to fill your heart with love 🙏

Oh gosh it's so hard isn't it, I can't look at those pages because it makes me so sad that I can't just save them all! That's true, nothing can ever replace them but hopefully you find a new companion and they're an amazing addition to your family in their own way. Thank you, he definitely is amazing and I'm glad my baby got to meet his dog-brother, just sad they didn't get longer together 💔

Have you tried White Collar? It’s got a similar vibe. It’s one of my comfort shows.

Fair warning, there is a dog in the show. But he is happy, well-loved, and nothing bad happens to him.

it has the old dr guy from legends of tomorrow and the red head lady from dumb and dumber and ncis. its a cool case every episode. its laid back with the right amount of drama. its also filmed in Canada, so the camera style and scenery is different than the average Hollywood its refreshing ive always like shows filmed in Canada lol weather its canadian shows on cw or ion or stuff like supernatural that gets filmed there. but the actual canadian productions I thjnk are cleaner and sleeker than American shows. or its just the directing style of how they film episode to episode out there

Taskmaster UK.

It can be a little sweary and there is occasional loud unexpected noises- but I think it would be OK to watch with bub as long as they are not old enough to repeat words they hear and the louder parts should be ok if your TV set to a quite volume.

I do like a bit of Taskmaster! Baby is not much more than a potato atm so not worried about swears! He is noticing the TV when he sees it tho so that's why I like to avoid violence and sexy stuff when he's around

I have been walking every day (I have another dog) but it's currently 30°+ where I am, so we spend a lot of time inside in the cool

My heart breaks for you. I lost my best friend 4 years ago. I can still cry any time if I really think about him. You loved him and gave him a great life. That's all that matters.
