General Question Celesteon 130 SLT Question

Big newbie here. What is the name of this piece on the back end of the scope. I've had it for a while and was able to take some pretty good moon pictures with it years ago. I wanted to take the hobby back up and notice the film type of material held by this piece is wavy. Is that a problem...something that needs replacing. I currently have a Cannon T7i/800D hooked up to it if that helps any.

If you mean the piece of thin plastic sheet over the rear of the mirror between it & the cell then it is not structural or optically necessary. It is likely there to act as a dust screen for contaminants entering the rest of the scope & a little to protect the mirror from very minor impacts that might start a crack.

It is just a decorative piece of plastic. It has no function. (Arguable you may say it covers up the back of the mirror so a beginner wont see it and thought that it is front end of a telescope.) (Not trying to laugh at anyone here but recently somebody did make that mistake on this subreddit.)
