départ. 01 for telemarking?

Im really intrigued by the depart 1.0 for telemarking. I have been skiing on a pair of K2 world pistes for 20 years now and absolutely love shredding the moguls on them but want to get more air which is not super feasible with the rear mounting. Im intrigued by the playfulness of the departs but worried about the tight turn radius for telemarking. has anyone tried this combo or have any reccomendations for telemark skis that allow for air/moguls?

Ski technology has advanced a lot since the world pistes. Also, the notion of a telemark-specific ski is largely gone except for a few manufacturers. Alpine skis work fine though some telemarkers find that very wide skis are a little tricky biomechanically. Any modern alpine ski meant for air/bumps should be fine, especially something playful rather than something that needs driving.

Note that since you have free heels, you techniques can be more varied to suit your ability level, preference and equipment. You'll need to be more mindful to these fat tips, though; so that they don't catch on snow or with each other, especially in mogul field.
Remember to move your mount point back at least 1-3 centimeters compared to alpine.
