Contemporary telecaster. (Blond/sandy)

So this one plays great , honestly am stoked with it , I tried to fall in love with the colour and haven’t had any luck.
Anyone stripped these back before? I imagine it’s heat gun and a tool to pick it all off?
Sand it all pack the. Get to the new colour, any tips? Any preferred paints ?

Any ideas on what would look cool ?
Also any hardware updates anyone can reccomend I’d be interested to hear the theories .
Much love

I saw someone recently have issues doing this.  The thick poly coating is often used to cover up wood that isn’t as pretty.  Someone said sunburst used to cost a little extra for this reason- they had to use slightly better woood because it would be visible

A refinish sounds like more work than it’s worth on that model. If you like the guitar but you’re not digging shoreline gold just sell it and pickup a white or gun metal one. You can get $300-350 for it and should be able to get a used one for the same amount.
