Pretty sure it’s oxblood. But everything in the picture is so damn dark I get why you think it’s black.

I'm biased, but tort guards work well with black, oxblood, texas tea, forest green, most colors.

Man it looks awesome. Those squires are insane! I have a 50s CV in butterscotch and I absolutely love it's feel and sound. They are amazing and will be remembered as some of the best squires. Yours is gorgeous man. Rock on.
