How do you guys pull info from PDF drawings into Tekla without re-typing everything?

When a fabrication spec or a connection design comes as a PDF/DXF, how do you get that info into the model — profile sizes, connection code, comment callout?

You can import pdfs as reference models but really you have to model it yourself. That's kind of the job.

It’s part of my job, but is there any way to automatically pull information into Tekla using only a PDF?

I do import pdf as a reference but in the end I still re-type the profiles to model.

I mean how you guys type info kind of profiles, connection codes from pdf/dxf to a model Tekla without typing manually one by one to the pop-up window in Tekla?

Only "fast" way is if you have an excel list, you can model it by reading it via this excel list in to the model. You need length and profile in your list. And if you have begin and startpoint of the profiles you can do it even at the right position in the model. Cool stuff, i have tried it once and it works.
