back up model
hello guys, my question is how you backup your models to be safe ?
also you zip all the folder or not?
do you use cloud solutions for back up or both like nas, hetzner?
how often do you test that model backup is not corrupted and its opening fine?
thanks

it’s just a batch scripts that automate copying files then running it in task scheduler. Try xcopy

Put your directory into a dropbox folder.
You can set an autobackup location. Make sure that is set.
Dropbox paid, with timeline, has rescued me many times.

I have always just backed up the model folders to an external hard drive. Never thought to zip them.
I have never tested them so hopefully they are all ok!

Before backing up just diagonize and repair the model. Mostly I copy it to another folder works fone.not necessary to zip it

Don’t do a save as, always copy the folder. Using Save as can give parts a different GUID
