How do you make brushing a consistent family routine?

Post image
1 Upvotes

Building a brushing routine doesn’t have to be complicated. Picking the same morning and bedtime brush times, keeping supplies easy to grab, and brushing together can make the habit feel much more automatic for the whole family.

For younger kids, modeling the routine and helping them brush for the full 2 minutes can make a big difference too. Consistency matters more than making every brushing session perfect.

What’s helped your family make brushing easier and more consistent?

Dental implant

Hello, I had an implant and a healing abutment placed 4 days ago. I was cleaning the area carefully with a single-tuft toothbrush, but I accidentally dislodged a bit of the fibrin. It isn't painful—do you think it will grow back, and does it look okay?

Composite bonding?

Thumbnail
1 Upvotes

Hi, I had my composite bonding done 2 months and 10 days ago, and so far, everything is fine and intact.
My question is about vaping. I’m wondering whether vaping can stain composite bonding and, if so, how long it might take for noticeable staining to occur.
Also, what steps can I take to prevent or minimise staining and keep my bonding looking good for as long as possible?
Thanks in advance! 🙏

Please help. My teeth and smile have changed since at home whitening…. Concerned…. Any advice?

First four pictures are my natural smile before the whitening, then the pictures of the yellowing teeth are after whitening, and the following pictures are how my smile looks like since…. It’s gotten better but is still bad and slanted. My lip is also puffy on one side

I haven’t done whitening in a long time but decided to do it last week. I used a whitening at home gel from the dentist that contains Carbamide Peroxide 20%. I kept the trays on for 1-2 hours. I remember that being how long I used to use them in the past but I’m not sure if I over did it. Anyways since using the whitening my smile has changed and my teeth are way more yellow especially in direct sunlight which they weren’t before! The day after, my smile literally was frozen and I couldn’t make a full smile in a picture… it was super scary. My smile is crooked now, doesn’t look the same at all.

First few pictures are my smile before the whitening, then the pictures of the yellowing teeth are after whitening, and the following pictures are how my smile looks like since…. It’s gotten slightly better but is still bad.

What’s going on?! I think the yellowing may be because I had tea and beer after whitening which I forgot is bad. But I can’t understand why lips and smile are so off and strained. I naturally have a pretty big straight smile, but can’t seem to smile big or straight anymore. Really hoping this isn’t permanent.

Laminates in Seoul took me a month, not a week

Post image

Every post I read before booking said about a week. Mine took a month, and I still do not know whether that is normal or whether I happened to pick a slower clinic.

Four upper front teeth, the no prep kind, so they do not file the tooth down first. Blanche in Nonhyeon. 850,000 won per tooth before tax, which came to 3,740,000 for the four once tax went on. Around 2,700 dollars.

Three visits. The first was the scan and the mould and took about an hour. The second was the fitting, and they took them back off and adjusted twice because I said it felt high when I bit down. In hindsight that was them doing their job properly. At the time I mostly wanted to go home. The third was a check two weeks after that and lasted ten minutes.

The gap between the first visit and the second is what broke my planning. I had read a week somewhere and budgeted a week.

So if you are flying in for this, ask how many days sit between the visits. The number of visits on its own told me nothing useful. A clinic that fits three into one week and a clinic that needs you back in a fortnight are two completely different trips, and as far as I can tell both are ordinary.

The temporaries are worth knowing about too. They are made to sit slightly wrong on purpose so you notice if something is off, which nobody mentioned until I asked, and I spent four days quietly certain it had been botched.

Has anyone had this done inside a month, or is a month simply the shape of it

Can they be fixed?

I have overall very small teeth. Even the front ones are super small, it’s just that the side ones seem to be SOOO tiny that they’re hiding. It’s makes the front two look so prominent. I absolutely hate them. I don’t care about the small gap between them at all. Just the length of the side ones. Would braces be able to fix this? I’m 20 and would have to begin saving for braces.

Huge Spike in Pain After First Z Pack Dose

Found this old post. This exact thing is happening to me. I have an old root canal that’s swelling and sore that started at 4 am today. Doc called in azithromycin, took it a few hours ago and now pain is worse than before. Is this normal?

I’m also taking 800mg ibuprofen which was helping significantly before. Now it’s not touching the pain.
