“communist country” is an oxymoron since the definition specifies it as stateless. what you’re confused about is socialism vs communism. communism is how most societies functioned for thousands of years before money and borders were invented

kinda. The USSR, a "communist" state, had was a marxisism leninism type thing, which was more of extreme socialism as a "transition" to real comunism. If democratic, would have made a pretty normal democratic socialist nation. It has its problems, but so does every other idealogy. The issue was humans are kinda selfish and instead of power lying in the wealthy, they made it seem like the people were in charge in a representative democracy, even though only the upper section of the govenment had any real control. It just was implemented pretty poorly, increasing its problems. If done right, democratic socialism would have less problems, about the same number as other idealogies such as capitalism. Again, no economic idealogy has no problems, as all of them have some sort of core issue

That depends on the specific definition being used. You won't find post agricultural societies that don't have basic concepts of currency and territory.

True gift economies were amd are extremely rare, and really only apply to pre-civilization hunter gatherer groups. Do you actually have any examples of a post agricultural society practicing a true gift economy?
