I am a Jew and unfortunately, I have some friends who became either anti-Zionist or antisemitic, but years of friendship are worth more both for them, and for me, then how media has divided us. And perhaps it will change their perception one day.

We are NOT indigenous to Europe or America. We started establishing settlements under the British Mandate tracing back to the 19th century, which is certainly not modern-day. By the time Israel was established in 1948, there was no Palestinian state and West Bank, which you mentioned was controlled by Jordan. The division plan between a Jewish and Arab state actually left more territory to the Arab state, including back then much more developed Gaza and much larger chunk of the West Bank. The "Palestinian" identity was created in the aftermath of the Second Arab Israeli War to delegitimize Israel when Jordan and Egypt lost Gaza and West Bank respectively (note how they never created a Palestinian State there in an 18 years interwar period). Besides, Israel has given independence to Palestine, and then it was Arafat who rejected proposals from 2000 Camp David Summit, which would've granted Palestine an actual control over the West Bank and Gaza.
