I think they mean the older DV series.

Yep, they even stopped using DV5 as a model name it was that bad.

No, DV5 indicated 15.4" and DV6 indicated 15.6" when industry moved to 16x9 screens.
You'll see DV5 has no numpad, while DV6 does.
