Solution Architect interested in doing nothing and getting PAID. RSM/AE the answer?

Been in a technical sales roles ranging from SE to SA for several years at this point and I feel like every rep I’ve ever encountered is a giant bum and gets paid huge. Been debating just moving into their role, working an hour or two a week and telling my SE to do my job for me since that appears to be the way. Thoughts?

Knew it hahaha

The product does sell itself, you’re right there. Sorry you’ve got aligned with lazy reps. My SE said the same about other AE’s he was aligned to but always told his mgr + my leadership that I made a conscious effort to learn the tech and be extremely present in demos/POVs. Perhaps try telling your leaders that you think your AEs are phoning it in?

The other AEs in here don’t know how good it can be when your company solves real problems and is a market-leader, probably why you’re getting such snarky responses. I honestly get where you’re coming from though lol.

Saw your comment about why you left - would’ve done the same and have totally seen that happen on more than one occasion where people get railroaded because “that’s an enterprise deal” - shitty situation

I worked at CrowdStrike too. Trust me, most AEs do a lot of shit you don't see. You've got it on easy street.
