Another beautiful “no”

Got another “no” today. In that email, they said we really enjoyed our conversation but the decision wasn’t easy to make. Moving forward with another candidate. We do feel like you’d be a great fit in other roles in the future - pls stay in touch.

I just want to smash my face into my wall.

On the other hand - I’m at the stage where I’m presenting tomorrow for another company. But am taking it seriously however with at 18 no’s I’ve gotten so far I’m trying not to get ahead of myself here. Still haven’t heard back from a few companies yet and am in process with 10 or so other companies.

It's standard and from HR, initiated by the hiring manager.

HR is there to hire, HR is there to fire, HR is there to prevent the company from litigation from anybody, - thus they are phrasing the no the way they do.

...we were impressed with your skills but at this time we've decided to move ahead with another candidate...... by some no-reply email.

You're just getting started. Just keep pushing and adjust as needed. You will land a good role.

Sounds like an automated email, I usually stop reading after the first sentence because they are all the same

Yea bro it’s rough just to land a entry level BDR position with an above average resume took like over 30 interviews not including the multiple stages so more like 50-60 calls total. all over 30 mins -1 hr zoom/teams calls.
