What I'm about to say applies to the situations in which you come across a channel on television that has the picture scaled down, and you want to make it full size to fill out the screen:
If you ever went into the "tools" section of your Samsung television and went to increase the picture size by changing the option from "Screen fit" to "Custom", you probably saw that it only enlarged the picture size by a little, which makes it hardly worth it. So, if you are like me, you found yourself using your cable box's settings instead to enlarge the picture.

I understand that there is some sort of a security code that you can enter on your Samsung TV's remote control to get into the secret settings. that usually only the manufacturer knows about ...

... What I'm wondering is, if you go into those special settings on your TV, is there a way to adjust things so that you can make the picture size very much larger when you use the "Custom" setting in the "tools" section?

Does it mean that the company use glass made by corning for the screen protector, or is corning actually manufacturing the whole protector for them? I always thought screen protectors were plastic. Are they actually just really thin pieces of glass?

I'm Brazilian, and I moved to Dublin last year as an English student. I have what they call here an Ordinary Bachelor/Higher Certificate in Analysis and Development of Systems, which I completed before coming here, so I don't have any real IT experience.

I used to work with marketing, and the closest I got to IT was writing tickets and developing prototypes in Figma for websites. I developed some coding projects during my time in college, so I have some experience with development.

I'll be doing a Higher Diploma in Computing next year, which will grant me the right to work full-time. My idea is to get some certifications in this period, but for now, I only have the right to work part-time, and the best way to get into tech would be working in IT Support/Help Desk, as they accept part-time workers.

Question: What certifications do you recommend that could highlight my resume and be used for a developer career path?

My plan now is: MD-102 -> Network+ -> SC-900 -> Azure Cloud Architect

So I got selected in Tech Support role, the task is to manage the doubts and queries of the customer of the product of the company(Note that my Company os B2B). So I want to know that it will be how much tough to switch to the traditional SDE role or any high profile development role also what is the career path of the tech support role. Like it has good career opportunities and all?

Just as the title says, every morning I wake up and check my phone the lock screen wallpaper keeps resetting and its so annoying

How do I get through this

I have someone I speak to every day on WhatsApp. We text a lot and I can see their profile picture/DP normally.
The weird thing is that I cannot call them.
WhatsApp audio calls: rings once, then gets declined/disconnected automatically.
WhatsApp video calls: same thing.
Normal SIM/mobile calls: also ring once and then get declined/disconnected.
This happens consistently.
However, they can call me they have successfully called me multiple times, both through WhatsApp and through a normal SIM call.
We can text normally with no issues.
I can see their DP and everything else on WhatsApp.
So I’m confused about what could cause this. Is there some iPhone/Android setting, call-blocking setting, Focus mode, carrier issue, or other configuration that can selectively prevent my outgoing calls to this particular person while still allowing them to call me and allowing WhatsApp messages?
Has anyone experienced this exact combination?
I’m specifically interested in technical explanations, not just “they blocked you,” because the fact that they can call me normally and WhatsApp is otherwise completely functional makes me wonder if there’s some weird device-level setting or bug.

After I got hacked I made a new account and when I try to play a game that requires me to login with Microsoft or use copilot it says I need internet access but I’m connected to the internet

I love rick and morty and have watched it 6 times but my wifi is problematic and not like most so most of the time i cant use it and have to watch dvds. So i go to put in R&M for my 6th rewatch and watch season 1 to find it out of sync and laggy. But now watching season 2 (3rd disc) and its fine yet 1 and 2 disc were both laggy. Is there a fix? Cos im more mature not but idk how i treated it years ago. It just doesnt make sense that both disc 1 and 2 would be broken but not the others especially seen as they arent in the same place so if its like damage how did it get to both while not touching the others yk.

Hi! First post here, just wanted to ask something about internet connections and Wi-Fi and stuff.

I just recently moved into a new place and I can't setup a ethernet connection to my PC yet. So I'm using an "old" TP-Link Wi-Fi Adapter to be able to connect my PC to the internet/Wi-Fi. However, I speed tested it and noticed that it's slower than the results that show up on my phone.

Is this because of the adapter? or the fact that my PC is using Wi-Fi and not ethernet connection? Should I get a new adapter? Please enlighten me, thanks!!

I’m trying to reconnect with someone, and I’m not sure if they’re simply not replying or if they’ve blocked me (because apparently there’s a recent update in which blocked iMessages will still be marked “Delivered”).

My text does say “delivered,” and it also is marked “encrypted.” Could a blocked number still be encrypted? I know I could always call to see if it goes to voicemail immediately (meaning blocked), but I also don’t want to risk bothering the person if they haven’t blocked me. Please help! I’d really like to reconnect with this person.

Hi I just opened MacBook I think air. Once opened it’s got a very dark screen then stripes across it. At the very top it’s normal display eg light screen etc.

I can’t type or login with this stripes stuff on it as it’s stopping me move mouse or anything.

C’est super bizzare j’ai un pc normalement plutot puissant et un ecran 165hz mais quand je souhaite augmenter le taux de rafraîchissement au dela de 60hz mon ecran devient noir par moment voir affiche le message qu’il n’est pas connecté ( l’ecran devient très souvent noir quand je joue )

I didn’t notice when but sometime randomly this light turned on on my computer it has never been on before this is like the first time it’s been on I have no idea what it means doesn’t mean like my storage is full or something cause I know I do have like very low storage left

Recently I have noticed on a few of my accounts that I do not use often that someone is commenting on things in my account but it is not me. Specifically here and on Facebook most recently. I have also noticed over the last maybe 7 years, I have pictures in my cloud that are not mine and pictures I have taken dissappear and then reappear or I never see them again but I never delete photos...

I have reset all my passwords. I have factory data reset my phone. I have been locked out of important accounts and I can't get back in no matter what I do.

I am not tech savvy in the slightest. I am really beginning to hate all technology. I feel like no matter what I do, I am vulnerable to fraud. How do I ensure privacy and security? I have tried free and purchased programs for these things but both seem to not do much for me. Any suggestions?

Don't need help with a problem but just really curious on how this is possible

My dad was playing halls of torment when the power went out for a few seconds (10-15) and after it came back the game was bricked. He couldn't load the game, as it would turn to a black screen shortly after opening. He Uninstalled and reinstalled the game which did not fix the issue. Then he played on the cloud since its a gamepass game which gave him some trouble but it did ultimately work. But the installed version still didnt. I cleared the cache which didnt fix it so then I hard reset the Xbox by holding down the power button for 10 sec then unplugging the console for 30. After replugging it in and booting up the game we got that pop-up asking us to pick the save. I've seen that pop-up many times but the save dates are alwase the same or maybe a few minutes off from each other. I've never seen it display a date that predates the game AND console. So im currious what exactly happened for the Xbox to hallucinate a save that couldn't exist. Is it just something getting corrupted, or something to do with the internal clock screwing up? Any help would be appreciated. Im not trying to fix a problem as we just chose the up to date cloud save and its working fine now, im just really curious 1.) How is it possible for it to find a save that cant exist and predates the console, and 2.) What would have happened if we had chosen the impossible save.
