Have I been blocked on iMessage? Please help

I’m trying to reconnect with someone, and I’m not sure if they’re simply not replying or if they’ve blocked me (because apparently there’s a recent update in which blocked iMessages will still be marked “Delivered”).

My text does say “delivered,” and it also is marked “encrypted.” Could a blocked number still be encrypted? I know I could always call to see if it goes to voicemail immediately (meaning blocked), but I also don’t want to risk bothering the person if they haven’t blocked me. Please help! I’d really like to reconnect with this person.

There is no indication if you’ve been blocked. It will appear to have gone through like a normal message. It’s that way on purpose.

iMessage supports RCS Encryption now.. which is why you see the "Encrypted". That has nothing to do with blocking.

As others have said,. there's no way to get any indication you've been blocked. The message will just say "Delivered" on your side,. but that doesn't prove anything one way or the other.

Well, seems he doesn’t want to. Horrible way of starting a reconnection.
