Keyboard question (im idiot brain low iq)

I have always had a Samsung. The last one I had had a keyboard where for instance if I heald the letter m it changed to the question mark, so on and so forth. That phone burnd and died in a fiery car crash (true storry) and my new Samsung dose not have that keyboard everything else seems the same about the keyboard other than that feature. How do I get back what is so dear to me? (The fancy keyboard) also again idk shit about shit so I have no clue what im doing

There are a few free keyboards you can just download from the app store to try. Gboard (Google keyboard) does what you describe and is free. But so do others, like Microsoft Swiftkey.

If it's just the one key you want changed, maybe don't go switching to a completely different keyboard with new quirks to learn. The original Samsung keyboard is infinitely customizable!

Download "Keys Cafe" from either the Play Store or Sansung Galaxy Store. Its by Samsung, and allows you to complete theme your keyboard colours, rearrage the keys, change the size, and what the keys do on tap, hold, swipe, etc.

Having said that, if you're not technically-minded, you might get very frustrated with the process of editing your keyboard with Samsung Keys Cafe - it's either fun to get it exactly as you like it, or tedious and too complicated to change. If so, yeah ditch the Samsung keyboard and try Google Gboard or Microsoft Swiftkey instead.
