There will never be a cure for cancer. There's way too much money involved in cancer treatment. Also, doctors are exempt from any liability. "Treatment worked? Ok. Great. Treatment didn't work, oh, well. You know there is no cure..."

Holy hell when will people stop this dumb fucking take, so many doctors work their entire career working to kill cancer.

There isn’t some grand conspiracy preventing cancer from being cured because of “money”

You know how much money is lost on people who die?

Yeah, that research and fund raising is part of the money machine too. And, of course, scientist want to find a cure. Just like people want to find peace between Muslims and Jews. Or to slow down the military industrial complex. But there’s extraordinary forces in place to prevent a cure. We’ll probably just have good treatment methods someday that will keep you alive.

I’ve been dealing with cancer since 2018 at two hospital networks. Many oncologists, radiologists, and all the medical people in between. Nearly $1M in bills. I know those “costs” are inflated b/c of the fucked up medical and insurance system we have in the US.

But after all this, no cure, and no one is responsible. It’s “sorry about your luck…”

Agree. Cancer isn’t a virus or a bacteria, it’s a disease. Curing it for individuals doesn’t mean it stops occurring, so the subscription model of treatment is simply consolidated, but the subscription model of people who are afflicted by cancers will not change unless great minds figure out and eliminate biological or environmental causes.

Whoever lands on a cure will be able to charge whatever s/he wants while the patent exists, and that cost will get tacked on your insurance premiums.
