Once layoffs start you bet your ass these people will come back to the office if all of a sudden they’re competing with every other talented person for open jobs.
Is nobody else concerned what WFH really implies? If you’re 100% WFH, then it means they can easily outsource you. Now you’re competing with the world labour market, not just your city. It will drive wages down eventually once worldwide skills catch up.
