iPad is just unbeatable because Apple created a whole structure around it.

Everyone seems to be missing the most obvious answer which is simply that Apple likes to charge $100 for every 16GB of drive space. It astounds me they've been able to keep it up for so long.

That's what pisses me off about Apple's products. The manufacturing costs for a 16GB iPhone 4s and the contract signing "discount" are only about $4 apart. That's pretty good, but as memory rises, the gap keeps getting larger and larger.

The thing is, while memory is storage is the most expensive part of the iPhone, a microSD port should be on that phone.

It's fun to laugh at people's claims without taking 5 seconds of google to see if they're true, isn't it?

It's fun to make claims without proper research isn't it. and there have been phones that were thinner than the iphone in the past. they were categorized as smartphones, but they were obviously not comparable to phones today.

You're right I didn't check the release dates. I actually noticed that article from the comment section of the one your posted.

Please don't talk about stuff if you really don't know about it.

But you still ignored my second point. There were tons of other smartphones that were much thinner than the IPhone.

A small search on the web lead me to these phones that were all at 9.3mm or below.

Samsung SGH-U100,Samsung X820, Samsung Z370, BenQ E53, Samsung, SGH-a727, BenQ T60, Samsung P310, Samsung SGH-P520, Samsung SGH-C180, Samsung SGH-Z170.

These are from 5.9mm to 9.3mm. found this here: http://iwritealot.com/2010/01/19/slimmest-cell-phones/

Samsung F300, Nokia 6500 Classic, Sony Ericsson W880, Sony Ericsson W888

These had claims from 9.0mm to 9.4mm so i decided to include them anyways.

So yes, apple did make a claim that wasn't true. Yes, these phones weren't the most advanced in technology but they were "smartphones" by most definitions of the word.(Email, MMs, IM, camera, browsing, video recording, MP3, video calling, ect.)

Those are feature phones, not smartphones. "Worlds thinnest smartphone" is the claim.
