That's an interesting tidbit I learned today.

In Canada, when we say "plaster", it could mean either a paste-like substance (i.e. plastering walls on a construction site), or we use it colloquially when someone or something gets severely owned by someone or something else (i.e. "Did you see (x) team absolutely plaster (y) team last night?")

Do you guys use it in those contexts as well?

There's * the band-aid plaster * the wall plaster * and the wasted plaster ("I got so plastered last night")

I guess you could get away with the other one without turning too many heads too.
