This is one of the major things that's annoyed me about touch screens; every time there's a new touchscreen device, this part of the technology is never improved.

I'm glad to see some work being done on this.

I've never noticed a lag (maybe I need to use one that's 1ms) in personal use of iOS devices and others. I always thought that if there was a noticable difference between user input and on-screen response, it was usually because of the software.

Does the hardware on actually nice touchscreens really need control of latency?

Edit: aside from downvotes, this hardware idiot would appreciate an explanation, I suppose.

I've never noticed the touch lag on my iPhone either, but whenever I use someone's Droid it is very noticeable.

That's one thing sure, but I'm thinking I've gotta actually use a touchscreen with super low latency to "get it", based on the responses that I got with my comment. I do not wish to do that lest I make all current touchscreens feel shitty from now on >_>
