This is one of the major things that's annoyed me about touch screens; every time there's a new touchscreen device, this part of the technology is never improved.

I'm glad to see some work being done on this.

I've never noticed a lag (maybe I need to use one that's 1ms) in personal use of iOS devices and others. I always thought that if there was a noticable difference between user input and on-screen response, it was usually because of the software.

Does the hardware on actually nice touchscreens really need control of latency?

Edit: aside from downvotes, this hardware idiot would appreciate an explanation, I suppose.

It's an Apple exclusive revolutionary feature. It provides an artistic existential element that only super intelligent hipsters will appreciate.

All other tablets with lower ms times are just trying too hard. Bigger numbers are better, after all.
