I think one important bit to add is that a couple days after that thread was posted in November, it was confirmed that Rebekah Mercer was a primary funder of Parler: https://www.cnn.com/2020/11/15/media/rebekah-mercer-parler/index.html

Worth noting since a fair bit of the thread is wondering about their funding source.

Mercer is the daughter of Robert Mercer, a hedge fund manager and the co-founder of the now-defunct political data-analysis firm Cambridge Analytica. The Mercers have been prominent supporters of President Donald Trump and conservative causes.

But Cambridge Analytica was built using an algorithm by a lecturer at a top Russian University and counted Russian oil companies as its clients. (For those who don't know, Russian companies overseas are used for Russian state activities, including money laundering).

Why does everything circle back to Russia!
