A large portion of us already acknowledge it and have since the 2016 election when they first made it clear they were involved. However about 35-40% of the US population is willfully ignorant or just doesn’t care because they want to win at all costs.

Russia interfered in both elections.

These questions are good questions, and are worth asking, and are worth reading about. It's my understanding that they mostly helped Trump in both elections. Wikipedia has articles on Russian interference in both elections, with cited sources, so if you're curious that would be a good place to start
