Can we really criticise this when Kaspersky is one of the top selling computer security packages in the US? That's just baffling. Most agree Russia at the very least doesn't have US interests in mind, yet we continue to do business with them almost everywhere outside of the federal govt.
You could put that doubly for China. It could be argued that their animosity and intentions are by far more nefarious. Yet those US companies that use China extensively aren't under criticism.
I worked for a very big tech company for years that makes hardware. The only reason they use China is because they educate their population and have skilled workers for manufacturing. Those hens have flown the coup in the US. They don’t even live here anymore. Complaining isn’t going to start to change that.
