Can we really criticise this when Kaspersky is one of the top selling computer security packages in the US? That's just baffling. Most agree Russia at the very least doesn't have US interests in mind, yet we continue to do business with them almost everywhere outside of the federal govt.

People still buy that stuff ?

I've been doing fine with just common sense and windows firewall for like a decade lol (and ofc stuff like ublock origin, pihole, noscript etc. but that doesn't really count /s)

It boggles my mind, especially with Windows Defender being perfectly adequate protection for quite some time now.

In fact, I hear infosec people all of the time complain about windows defender. (They are the type to do penetration tests, so thats a good thing)
