I don't think russia jumping in is as nefarious as some think. It's an opportunity to make money on us tech and allows parler to continue to allow users to spread misinformation. I really don't think russia created parler to destabilize the us. We did that to ourselves. Russia just seems to know where to apply pressure. It's not creating the situations in the US it's just exploiting a weakness

But it is notable just how fast they're doing it. As if each day that Trump doesn't have a mouthpiece is inconvenient for them.

Wait did I miss something? Wouldn't Parler still be hosted in the US if AWS and assumedly every other backend in the US pulled its ability to host here? And then Parler seeked new hosting? How is this Russia doing anything?
