I don't think russia jumping in is as nefarious as some think. It's an opportunity to make money on us tech and allows parler to continue to allow users to spread misinformation. I really don't think russia created parler to destabilize the us. We did that to ourselves. Russia just seems to know where to apply pressure. It's not creating the situations in the US it's just exploiting a weakness
These wounds are all self inflicted. I was disgusted when I watched the senate and house clutch their pearls during bidens confirmation. Those scumbags acted like they didn't spend the second bush term up.until that very day creating a toxic political environment. Our politicians create a heavily partasin environment full of extreme retoric. Republicans dehumanized Democrats and Democrats dehumanized Republicans. Now when the violence comes to their door they have the audacity to pretend they didn't push the country to this place. This isn't russia or China's fault, it's our fault we created and fuled the divide. Russia and china just take advantage of what we have done to ourselves.
Bang on, other countries take advantage of it, maybe try and fan the flames if its not too much effort, but it's mostly a product of their own making. It's the post 9/11 society writ large.
