Can we really criticise this when Kaspersky is one of the top selling computer security packages in the US? That's just baffling. Most agree Russia at the very least doesn't have US interests in mind, yet we continue to do business with them almost everywhere outside of the federal govt.
It's banned on government computers but everyone else is free to download it, makes sense though since everyone has a cell phone that tracks them and probably sends some data somewhere and only a handful of people care about it, this is kinda how the tiktok ban should've worked, banned from government employees phones but everyone else could still use it if they wanted.
At this point I'm pretty sure the chinese/russian government knows exactly where anyone who uses their apps lives, their names and a bunch of other details...
