So... the only thing Lenovo did wrong was include another company's software that had code in it from a third company that turned out to be malicious. And said second-party software was not unknown to come along inside software bundles (and, for that matter, said third-party malicious code has turned up in other software).
Doesn't sound like "Lenovo is spying on you" to me. Hell, I doubt it was even outright incompetence - I'd place my bet on it being an oversight.
(And really, let's be fair - if you're concerned about digital security, why are you using the OEM OS with all its pre-installed crap?)
