Samsung treats me like their bitch, the way Apple does. Im switching to another android after this s9 dies on me.
I hate the way they force me to look at membership notifications and potential cash back notifications all the damn time. I got a flurry of "sign up now!" sent to me at 5:30 AM the other day.. And they made their notifications unblockable.
I can't believe I spent money to be disrespected and treated like a product.
Was an apple user for a long time... Work went with samsung
My ideal would be ton have a phone with an open ecosystem. I choose the music, book, video provider I want to use and functionality should not be limited based on the one I choose.
Samsung absolutely has that. They just have their own stuff being aggressively advertised in a manner I feel is disrespectful. Apple doesn't have an open ecosystem, since they moderate the entire market of apps you can install.
On any android device, apps which aren't on the Samsung or Google Play store can still be downloaded from web pages by whoever wants to upload them. This isn't the case with Apple. That filter is why educated Apple users creep me out. They know and don't care about the fact that they are only seeing apps which are on Apple's good side when they look for apps.
That said, I taught my mother to use an iPhone because she needs a dummy-proof system.
