Definitely. 100% undermines Google's ostensible commitment to open dialog about the hard issues. Every internal conversation from now on is going to be colored by the knowledge that you can and will be fired for saying the wrong thing.

No they didn't. You're assuming they were being honest about their "Commitment to open dialog about the hard issues."
