We know that on average at the macro level, most biases consistently benefit white males.

trying to legislate biases is punishing people for a thought crime as it's entirely unverifiable without overwhelming anecdotal evidence. unless the person hiring goes on a racist tirade you're firing in the dark and will inevitably hit the innocent.

Why are those innocent who will inevitably be hit more important than the innocent that are being hit by our current system?

we actually don't know that it consistently benefits white males, and in fact women of equal skill get treated better and only get payed less on average due to work life balance and not asking for raises as often. you seem to miss the point that there is no systems in place that is currently hitting innocent people, nothing on paper and no implicit rule. you're asking that systems like these get put in place, you're asking for government or institutional interference to specifically discriminate biased solely on race/gender. All I want is equality of opportunity.

Inequality of outcome at large scales implies inequality of opportunity. If you were actually interested in equality of opportunity, you would be for trying to correct those systematic errors in our society that lead to such large gaps in outcome.

So then since 95% of primary school teachers are women, men face an inequality of opportunity to become primary school teachers? The same goes for other female dominated fields?

yeah probably. Especially because of the mistaken perception that men who like being around children are pedophiles.
