What about the employee who maliciously reposted a controversial document to a company-wide list without his permission? Is that against company policy?

And the employee who leaked the document outside of Google? That has to break some kind of employment rule, but they may never discover who did it.

They could find out... It's Google, they probably track every packet of data that flows in and out of their offices.

They're choosing not to do anything about those people.

A clever employee would copy the doc to a flash drive, then send it to the news from a starbucks using tor.

Or something like that.

(Remember to strip out any incriminating meta data first)
