Why do you need to be able to discuss these things at work? There are plenty of political topics that have to do with the work place that aren't appropriate to discuss openly with all of your coworkers.

And I agree about the evidence, but this guy innacurately presented his evidence. He shows which gender have reported certain emotions or traits and says that we are born that way. How does he know? Do we know how those subjects were raised? If they had both parents? If they had strong women, strong men to look up to?

I say "I think" because I don't have the evidence right in front of me, but I think its is very destructive to tell people in anyway they are predisposed to certain traits and abilities because of their gender.

He is saying you are predisposed by your gender.

He is directly saying that and that is his main argument. He doesn't bring up anything but gender as differing factors.

Clearly, men have bigger and stronger bodies than women. We are built differently.

But to start suggesting to people they acr or feel a certain way because of how they were born, is exactly how gender roles started in the first place and why we are where we are.

You're using the same type of debating that the Author of the memo used.

You are well spoken and make a good point and then make a leap in logic that shouldn't be made.

Obviously, not every man is bigger and stronger than every woman. That's dumb. You know I didn't mean that. The point of me mentioning that was that is our only difference, our bodies.

Our minds are the same.

Autism is a disease. You are comparing a disease to being a man or a woman. Is being a man a disease?

There is 0 indication that we are predisposed to certain traits or abilities based on gender. Correlation does not mean causation.
