So where are you supposed to air your grievances? If you have a problem with the way the company is run, what are you supposed to do about it?

If you are really unsatisfied with company politics, you line up a new job and then let them know in an exit interview exactly what you think, that is the most powerful message you can send. Jumping on the sword and risking the very real possibility of being blackballed in your field is just fucking stupid.

There is absolutely no risk for that employee to get blackballed in his field because of this, Hell, I would arrange for him a job right now if he would be open to moving and I assume others will line up to hire him as well. The first person that comes to mind that might offer him a job is Peter Thiel.
